They have won some awards like Favorite Heavy Metal/ Hard Rock Artist in the American Music Awards in 1995 and Best Alternative Music Performance in the Grammy Awards in 1996. Until now, Nirvana’s songs are stilled played on radio stations and that their fans are increasingly growing worldwide. Their songs have evolved throughout the years and inspired a lot of people from different cultures and age. Its original members consisted of Kurt Cobain as the lead guitarist, Krist Novoselic on bass guitar and Dave Grohl for drums and backing vocals. Dan Peters was the last and the long-standing drummer for the band as this position was consistently replaced before him.
